Creon General Information, Uses, Side Effects and Dosage.
The body’s pancreas produces enzymes to aid in digesting protein, fat and sugar. If the pancreas could no longer produce the needed enzymes, doctors prescribe Creon. It provides the three important enzymes necessary for the body to properly digest proteins, sugar and fat. It comes in a capsule form and the dosage and administration is based on the advice given by the attending physician.
Creon is taken according to the dosage prescribed and the contents of the capsule must be mixed with food to make its assimilation easier. Avoid getting the capsule in contact with the inside of the mouth to prevent irritation.
